Our gastronomic tour starts at 11.00 am or 15.30 pm daily with exception of Sunday from Pasaje Enriquez opposite central park in Quetzaltenango (ask for ADRENALINA office).
First , we shall walk to the 14th Avenue one block away and one of the most important avenues in Xela to taste the Tostadas de Guacamole de Don Richard, delicious fried corn tortillas with avocado. After this amazing experience we walk to the 4th street to visit Doña Josefina, Indigenous local K’iche woman and excellent cook where we will drink atolito de Elote and eat famous chuchitos with tomato sauce.
To learn a little bit more about our local kitchen we will receive a cooking class from doña Letty, to learn how to prepare the Rellenitos famous in Guatemala for the combination of plantains (bananas) and sweet beans. Ready to cook and taste your creation, you are welcome!
For Lunch or dinner, you cannot miss the Quichom (lunch) with rice and made hand tortillas, a little spicy because of all the condiments but intensely delicious.
or PUPUSAS (dinner) with corn tortillas filled with cheese or pork meat.
Almost finishing our tour of about 2.30 hours you will enjoy the handmade chocolate, visiting Chocolatería Dona Pancha, with a cup of pure and hot chocolate or a delicious Chocofruta, (fruit cover with chocolate). This is your choice!
We end our tour with a surprise dessert and return to the Central Park, multicolored heart of the historic center of Quetzaltenango.
